In March I reviewed the e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Rose, and those with a good memory (or those who click the link) will know how enthusiastic I was about this tinted lip balm from e.l.f.’s mineral line. That great first experience convinced me to get the lip tint in three more shades: Blush, Guava and Cherry. And I love all three of them. Let’s have a closer look together!
e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Blush
Blush is a happy bright Barbie pink shade. I don’t often buy lipstick with a high Made by Mattel factor, but Blush actually looks quite soft on my lips and looks really cute. The color is really vibrant and girly.
e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Guava
Guava initially looked like a coral shade, and so I was convinced that this would be my favorite of all three lip tints. But once I put it on, it looked a lot different. Instead of coral, Guava is somewhere in between frosty pink and nude-colored. Pretty, definitely, but very different from what I had expected.
e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Cherry
And then last not but not least we have Cherry. The name of this lip tint is a bit confusing. Cherry is not a bright cherry red shade as you might expect, but more like a brownish red. The color reminds me a bit of that of the Smashbox Longwear Lip Color in Whirl. Just more transparent and with a shiny finish. Whirl is one of my favorite lipsticks, and this e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Cherry is basically the tinted lip balm version of it. So pretty!
Just like my very first e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Rose, these three lip tints feel very soft and creamy and keep my lips well hydrated. My Labello can take a holiday (or a hike even) because the e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tints are so moisturizing that they give my lips more than just some color: they really nourish them as well. And they taste as sweet as they look. The colors are all subtle and soft and they create that lovely my-lips-but-better effect. And the SPF 8 in the formula is a nice plus, especially with summer approaching. I fell in love with my very first e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in March, and I think it’s safe to say that now Blush, Guava and Cherry are taking over my heart as well! Good thing I have such a big heart ;-)
Which of these three shades do you like best? Do you like using tinted lip balm?
